Cirrus Core Networks NFV LTE vEPC reference demo/lab system

Boca Raton, USA
17 November, 2014

Cirrus Core Networks, provider of fully managed NFV core infrastructure, today announced the availability of its demonstration/reference system in its Boca Raton headquarters. The system, consisting of a virtualized EPC (MME, S-GW, P-GW, HSS), Nokia Flexi eNodeB, and various widely available LTE devices, is available for on-site end to end demonstrations, as well as, remote connectivity for NFV trials. The EPC is hosted at the highly secure Equinix data center thus ensuring network security during trials.

“This is an exciting step for CCN.” states CEO Adam Crane, “We have gone from concept stage to our first Showcase system in a matter of months.” Mr. Crane goes on to add, “This is the first of three planned, along with the introduction of VoLTE in a couple months.” These demo/reference systems will cost effectively allow operators to experience NFV first hand. While larger operators are spending millions to investigate NFV, CCN will enable smaller operators to gain “Domain 2.0” knowledge at a fraction of the cost. To find out more about how you can cost effectively experience NFV, go to CCN’s Contact Page to schedule a demo.
