Martin Guilfoyle joins CCN as Chief Architect and Strategist, and he brings over thirty years of telecommunication and wireless networks experience in both vendor and operator environments, including designing and building numerous GSM networks, building the first global roaming hub, and he was instrumental in developing NFV fundamental concepts. Martin is also an expert in legacy 2G/3G and LTE networks, cloud based NFV architectures, high availability network operations, security best practices, and related back office operational and business systems.
Martin began his telecom career with British Telecom in 1978 where he was involved in major network modernization. He joined the start-up, Vodafone, in 1987 and has been at the forefront of wireless telecommunications ever since. His experience includes Syniverse Technologies, Wireless Solutions International (founder), Vodafone, T-Mobile UK, Omnipoint, Western Wireless (GSM), Bermuda Telecom, and United Clearing. Martin is an extremely motivated technologist who holds an Airline Transport Pilots License, and is an examiner and instructor for both airplane and helicopter.
